Spiritual items are some of my favorite to shop for. These things include books, aromatherapy and tools that help us in our spiritual self-care routines and growth.
In today's blog post, I'm sharing ten of my current favorite spiritual items that making a big difference for me. I hope you enjoy perusing them and maybe you'll see one that calls to you too.
Where to buy spiritual items
Before I begin, I'll share where I find spiritual items for my self-care space. The internet has made it so easy these days to buy anything you want from the comfort of your own home, and this is what I do quite often.
I really purchase most of my items from either Amazon, Etsy or through spiritual subscription boxes.
I love knowing what others have in their sacred spaces. What books are you reading? Which crystals are resonating with you most right now? What scents are swirling through the air? What's the newest subject you're passionately learning about? How are you growing?
These are just a few of things I would eagerly ask you since I can't be a fly on your wall (I'm so jealous of flies on walls). Today I invite you into my sacred space so I can show you a few things I am loving right now!
If you watch my daily Instagram stories where I share my morning self-care routine, you've seen snippets of my space. Sometimes I take an entire picture of the space, but usually I don't. So here it is, in permanent form. Until I change it 🙂
I recently wrote about my crystals, so check that out if you're interested because those aren't going to be on this list (even though I love them and keep them out all the time).
My sacred space is my nightstand. I pull a small chair up to it every morning, light incense, invite in divine guidance, read through some of my favorite daily books, fill out my morning worksheet, and sometimes journal.
Here are some of my current favorite things in this space:
This book
This book is hands down my favorite current book. I read a lot of books and it's hard for me to pick a favorite one, but this one is one that I'm re-reading (and re-reading AGAIN). It's called Secrets & Mysteries: the Glory and Pleasure of Being a Woman by Denise Linn.
I first read this book 10 years ago in my early twenties, and honestly it's like reading it for the first time now. She talks a lot about energy healing, connecting with the divine feminine, manifesting, syncing with the moon, honoring and healing your body, and just so much good stuff.
Echo Dot
So the Amazon Echo Dot isn't exactly spiritual but it serves a highly spiritual purpose, which is it plays my meditation sounds every morning and night. Several people have sent me messages asking what those bell sounds are that they hear playing in the background of my morning routine, and it's this song.
My friend got this for me on my birthday and it has lots of really cool features, but I just use it for my self-care routine because it's small and doesn't take up much space.
Essential oil roll-ons
I am OBSESSED with essential oil roll-ons right now. And likely forever, because roll-ons basically take the work out of essential oils. They're already diluted with fractionated coconut oil and have a blend of essential oils in them specific for certain uses.
My current favorite roll-on is Balance by Doterra. I got mine while in Mexico, hence the Spanish label. Balance is a grounding blend so anytime I'm feeling anxious, I roll this on my wrists and over my heart and the scent helps to soothe me.
I plan on making these myself since it's so easy and cheaper than buying them pre-made, and there's a lot of recipes you can find on Pinterest. To make your own roll-ons, all you need is: roll-on bottles, fractionated coconut oil, mini funnels, labels, and whatever essential oils you're using.
Rose water spray
I. AM. OBSESSED....with rose water. It's instantly calming to for me and smells so damn good. I like to spray my sleeping area at night with it and myself, especially when I come home and want to de-stress. It just smells so feminine and soothing to me.
I bought this up in Sedona but the ingredients are water with rose and tuberose essential oils. Once I'm done with this bottle I just plan to remake my own and maybe put it under the full moon to charge it up 🙂
Incense cones
I swear this is my last scent-related item. Aromatherapy is huge for me, obviously.
I am in love with incense. I honestly don't know which is more orgasmic in the morning: my first sip of coffee or the first wave of incense smoke that dances across my face. My coffee wakes my body up and the incense wakes my soul up.
I'm particular too; my favorite place to buy my incense is in Sedona, and I haven't been able to find the brand on Amazon. Let me know if you know of a good place to buy incense cones online!
Crystal pendulum
I am new to pendulums but as soon as I knew what they were for, I took to them like a fish to water. I read the book The Emotion Code and in that book he talks about swaying and muscle testing. It's basically ways in which you communicate with your body mind or subconscious. By doing so, you're able to energetically heal yourself of trapped emotions that have become lodged in your body.
I've been using my pendulum to communicate with my body and my higher self. It's been an extremely healing experience.
Mindset journal sheets
I do a morning journal sheet, which you can find in the Dwell in Magic shop, every day during my self-care routine. It always helps to ground me as well as gets me focusing on what's good in my life. I set my intentions for the day which has always been such a powerful practice for me.
My current favorite morning sheet is the one from the moon magic bundle. I like it because it has a space for pulling oracle or tarot cards for daily guidance, as well as matching your self-care to the moon phases.
Salt lamp
Salt lamps have tons of health benefits: cleansing the air, reducing allergy & asthma symptoms, increasing energy levels, neutralizing electromagnetic radiation, improving mood & concentration, and reducing static in the air.
I have definitely found that I sleep better, but what I really love about this lamp is it's soft and soothing glow. Just looking at it eases tension in my eyes and de-stresses me. On nights where I sit at my bedstand doing my magical woo woo thangs, usually during a new or full moon, I love to have this light on only. Therefore, I have deemed it spiritual in nature!
Magic box
Speaking of moons and their magic, I love this beautiful box I have on my bed stand. I have a whole post dedicated to the topic of magic boxes, and currently this one is home to my New Moon wishes and some sage for smudging.
I found this box at Ross of all places for like $6.
Sacred Rebels Oracle
I love this deck! Every time I've gone to pull a card, it's spoken to the very thing I'm struggling with. And that card on top, card 24, I keep pulling that one. And when I took my cards out of the box today, it was on the bottom when I turned the deck over to photograph it.
I am loving so much this connection to the universe and to my higher self. I'm currently learning to trust my intuition and this deck is really fostering that growth.
Bonus image
My little girlfriend, Ellie. She's got her bed next to my meditation space and every morning she snoozes next to me while I do my self-care routine. Doesn't she look so cozy? Her calm and high vibe animal energy definitely counts as spiritual!
I recently read in Denise Linn's book that the reason witches and shamanesses used to always have small animals with them is because they would tap into their higher energy in order to intuitively communicate with the divine. I think that's pretty cool!
So those are my favorite spiritual items currently. Now it's your turn; what spiritual books or items are you loving right now?
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed this article and found something to take away with you.

Oh Jocelan, I so enjoyed reading the description of your sacred space, it sounds heavenly. I also love the way you described what these items mean to you and how they've fostered your connection to the divine. What a good idea too to have a picture of your totem animal, I hadn't thought of that. I resonated with everything you said, thank you so much for sharing! xo
Love and gratitude

I love see what other people are reading^_^ I'll have to wishlist that book! I'm currently reading my first Abraham Hicks book, the Money and the LOA one...it's really good and eye opening...just when you think you've read it all, ha.
I have little sacred spaces throughout my home. My favorite is my office, it holds my vision board, notes, my unicorn altar and art. I don't do my main meditating often in there because it's like right next to my kid's room....and any creak would wake him up, haha #kidlife But I do try to check in there some time each day since it fills me with joy: )
Moonsparkle (ZM)
Thanks for the post. The Denise Linn book sounds good, I'll check that out! 🙂
I'm into Tess Whitehurst's books at the moment, especially The Good Energy Book. They're magic/spiritual books. I also recently won Anita Moorjani's Dying To Be Me as part of Amina Makhdoom's Joy Challenge, so I'm re-reading that. (I had it before but not to keep).
Oracle cards are good. I have several Doreen Virture decks but my most recent is a Lucy Cavendish mermaid one. I just did a reading with it today actually. 🙂
Kerridwen Niner
Hi, I have just come across your blog after finding your self care pin on my page, it was a lovely read and I shared it with a friend and now I'm back for more. I too love crystals, cards, pendulums, books, but need to incorporate them into my life more. I have a large rose quartz on my bedside table along with an amethyst bed which currently has two clear quartz on it as I had them under my bed sheet to help my achey feet. I have several card sets in my bedside draw also which i call on occasionally. Look forward to reading more. Incidentally my latest read although not Spiritual is about Hygge but something I can 'feel' is my current need 🙂
My blog Constellations blogspot is currently in hybernation lol

Pretty sure my favorite "item" is Ellie 🙂
