Morning rituals can be so easy and yet so powerful for setting up a flow for your entire day. The morning rituals of successful people aren't hard and are actually something I've come to look forward to.
In this article I'm sharing 5 law of attraction inspired morning rituals I do that help me to start off the day feeling aligned, at peace and excited.

What does morning ritual mean?
Morning rituals are simply small habits, actions or decisions that we can make in the morning to create more ease and flow throughout our day.
With that being said, I'm not a fan of creating a morning ritual that doesn't align with who I am as a person. For example, if you're a night owl, you probably don't want to create a morning ritual of waking up before the chickens.
There is not one path to success or joy. You don't have to wake up at 3AM, go for a ten mile run and eat a balanced breakfast in order to be happy or successful. This is why I really advocate to follow ideas or suggestions that inspire you.
Why are morning rituals important?
What we do in the morning is so important because it sets the tone for the rest of our day. Every morning, we have the choice to either have a successful, fulfilling day–or a lousy one. Let the bull trample you or take control and show it who’s boss!
I am not much of a morning morning, therefore I don't try to wake up early. I really encourage you to look at your personal set of circumstances, preferences and desires when putting together your morning rituals.
If we try and copy others, we don't end up being very joyful. Happiness does not come from sacrifice or pain. Not unless either of those two things brings you happiness!
So while I'm not going to share painful rituals, I am going to share rituals that keep the world at bay, help your mind get on the right track, and attract a day that unfolds with beautiful, synchronistic flow.
5 morning rituals for a magical day
The following morning rituals are my tried-and-true habits that have stuck with me because they are simple and yet life-changing at the same time.
1. Don’t look at your phone
I am so guilty of this and I absolutely know it affects my day and mood when I wake up and reach for my phone.
What usually happens when we check our phones first thing in the morning? We are instantly bombarded by other people's lives, moods, highlight reels, needs and opinions. I don't know about you, but that makes me just want to go back to sleep.
I understand wanting to check your phone for important things, and if that's the case then bypass this. However, if you're checking social media and emails as a way to wake up, you are letting the energy of the world into your sacred space before you have set the tone for your day.
Set a time for yourself to check your phone or laptop and don’t look before then. When I'm able to go the first few hours of the day without getting sucked into the social media world, I feel so much more calmer and serene.
2. Do something that makes you feel good

What’s one thing that makes you excited to get out of bed every morning? I’m not talking about anything huge or super significant–mine is coffee and sitting on the porch.
Maybe for you it’s a warm shower or an invigorating run. A small but important enticer that starts you off in a good mood. What's something you look forward to in the morning?
Even if you don't have a lot of time in the morning, there are small things you probably enjoy that you can incorporate into your daily morning ritual.
Stretching, a cup of warm tea, listening to inspiring music, etc. In other words, if it makes you feel good–do it.
3. Align
There are many ways you can align with yourself in the morning. My favorite way is to fill out a morning worksheet. They are intended for just this purpose: alignment in a short amount of time.
There are several to choose from depending on your needs and preferences.
- Witchy morning sheet
- Law of attraction morning sheet
- Morning sheet for moms
- Entrepreneur's morning sheet
- Spiritual morning sheet
One of the most powerful things you can do to set up a successful day is to write down how you want to feel and what you'd like to accomplish. Sometimes I only write down how I want to feel and let everything fall into place.
Taking a small amount of time to do a morning worksheet will completely shift how your day unfolds. If you don't have a morning worksheet, simply write down how you want to feel, what you want to accomplish, what you're grateful for, and take time for a few deep breaths.

4. Visualize your day
Here is where the magic happens. We know now that athletes who simply visualize participating in their sport fire off the same neurons in their brain as if they were actually there.
The same happens when you visualize how a perfect day would look for you. After writing down your intentions on your morning worksheet, this is made even easier because you have an idea of how you want your day to look.
Picture yourself walking into your kitchen, preparing for your day. See and feel everything, even the floor under your feet. Here are some things you could visualize to manifest a magical day:
- getting exciting news
- driving your dream car
- hugging your children/spouse/friend
- being complimented
- joyful exchanges with others
- feeling strong and healthy in your body
When you take a few minutes to visualize your day, you actually attract the circumstances, resources and people that will help that vision come to life.
Does it mean you'll walk out into your garage and see your dream car there? No, but I'm so serious I wish I could scream it from the roof tops...you WILL begin to shift and bend reality with this simple exercise.
Each day that you do this, everything big and small that you desire will inch its way closer into your reality. I've done it time and time again in my own life.
My husband and I hardly work and yet have more money than we've ever had. I truly attribute it to holding the vision of how we wanted our life to look and it in fact shifted into that reality.
5. Consume inspiration
One of the best ways to keep your mind above the trees with a bird's eye view of everything is to consume inspiration that reminds you of the bigger picture.

If you're a reader, read a few pages out of an inspirational book. I've listed some of my favorites here. If you're an audio type of person, listen to a podcast or something off of YouTube such as an Abraham Hicks recording.
I'll even read just a few pages out of a manifesting book. It gets me out of my head and into the bigger picture of possibilities beyond my small perspective of "reality".
This is important because we can become stuck in our current "realities", only to repeat them over and over, day in and day out. The trick to manifesting success, however you define that, is to bring yourself out of your current viewpoint.
Consuming inspirational content like this is an excellent way to remind yourself of the magic that exists in this universe. It's a fabulous habit to add to your daily morning routine.
So those are my 5 morning rituals that I like to practice as often as I can. They've been game changers for me and I hope they gave you some inspiration as well for your own personal morning routine.
Let me know in the comments below some of your rituals that make for a magical day, I'd love to hear them.

Love this, thank you. Consuming your content and reading this article this morning was part of my morning routine. 🙂 After reading a book on morning routines about a year ago, my ritual includes some meditation, journaling, visualization, reading, affirmations and some exercise. Also love to do some of this out in the sun with a warm drink in hand.

Thank you for sharing these! I’ve been wanting to start a consistent morning ritual and lo’ and behold I get this blog post in email! The power of synchronicity is beautiful. I love the idea of adding inspiration! I am definitely going to add that to my morning routine. Two things I personally need to do to help me have a magical day is gratitude journaling and grounding w/ meditative breathing and visualization. Peace and love! -Nani

Jessica - thanks for this. I’ve made some big changes in my life and it’s so different from my “old” life and habits that I struggle with feeling like i’m In control and i’m Looking for ways to help be more centered and grounded and mindful. It helps to have specific examples. Sometimes I’m so overwhelmed it doesn’t occur to me that something as simple as a cup of coffee is enough to motivate! Bloggers and Pinterest and FB can be overwhelming in the long list of “how to be better and how to have a magical life” it is just content for contents sake and totally unrealistic for any human to make happen in a day a week or even a year! Thanks for keeping it short, simple , and attainable.
Be well
Christelle
Hi Jessica, thanks for this great article. It’s nice to hear that I don’t have to wake up at 4am and run 5km each morning to be successful in my life 😅 Thanks for the good tips. I definitely have to work on the “don’t look at your phone” tips🙈 One think I do each morning is to draw an oracle card to give me the tone of the day✨
