I just got the February box from Anita Apothecary, themed Moon Goddess, so I'm excited to share what we received this month. This is a brand new witchy box that just started, and since it's a one-woman show it's also limited since she can only accommodate 50-60 boxes a month right now.
She just let everyone know that she's in the process of moving her box from Cratejoy to her Etsy shop, so I'll update this post as soon as I see the box listed in her shop! Meanwhile I definitely recommend checking out her shop and all of the beautiful products she has available. They're handmade with love and intention and you can truly feel it.
On the printout that came with the box this month, it says "The moon has long been deeply associated with femininity and divinity, worshipped in many cultures, and especially sacred to women. The purpose behind this box is to help you connect deeper with lunar magick and your own inner goddess."
Moon Goddess Candle | $18 Value
How beautiful and magickal is this candle? Her candles are my favorite. They're 100% soy but they don't burn as quick as candles I've received in other subscription boxes, maybe because she sends them in such a nice glass jar rather than a tin can like I usually see.
The candle we received in the January box has barely burned down much and I've used it many times and had it burning for quite a bit of time. This month's candle smells very feminine and soft, I can't wait to use it.
Her card says: "Hand-poured and designed using 100% soy wax and an eco-cotton wick. Use during your lunar ritual; during the New Moon for manifestation or during the Full Moon for releasing."
Moon Goddess Pave Hair Pin Collection | $16.95 Value
How beautiful is this moon and star hair pin set?! Talk about a touch of magick...I will totally be wearing this dressed down or up. It's so feminine and soft. Everything in this box could be described that way.
This is what I love about this box specifically; it's full of personal touches like this that shows how much attention and thought Anita Apothecary puts into everything that is sent.
Her card says: "Vintage inspired pave rhinestones. Every Goddess needs moon and starts sparkling in their hair."
Triple Goddess Wood Burned Hair Comb | $7.50 Value
The picture makes this comb look a little smaller than it really is; it's a nice sized comb. It smells really good too and the word "goddess" is burned on the back of it. I love, love, LOVE that this was hand wood burned. It's truly one-of-a-kind.
Her card says: "Hand wood burned, light weight and small; makes it perfect to throw in your purse and have a little reminder of lunar magick with you wherever you go."
Brass Triple Goddess Offering Bowl | $12.99 Value
I have actually had this bowl on my wishlist! It's the perfect size for lots of things; you could use it to burn incense, for herbs, as a water altar bowl, etc. I love the pinkish and gold colors, it looks beautiful in my sacred space.
Star and Moon Incense Holder + Hem Moon Incense Sticks | $6 Value
I was actually really excited about getting this star and moon incense holder because I have one already, but I'm always having to carry it back and forth in between rooms. I also love this Hem Moon incense, and I already had some of it as well in cone form. It's a very soft scent.
Moonflower Seeds | $1.50 Value
I thought this was a such a beautiful idea of something to add inside of a moon box! I have plans for these...I have some big changes coming up in the next few months, and I'm already picturing planting these wherever I land so we can both root and bloom at the same time.
Her card says: "Plant a little magick on the next New Moon to manifest beautiful blooms to enjoy during moonlight."
Moon Goddess Perfume Oil | $12 Value
Do you see what I mean?! How beautiful and magickal is everything in this box? And this oil smells so DIVINE...very feminine, almost like a vanilla-cupcakeish smell, but not strong like that. I will definitely be using this as perfume and during my moon rituals.
Her card says: "Use during our ritual or any time as a perfume oil. Give it a good shake as it contains natural silver mica to leave a light shimmer on your skin."
Moon Goddess Grimoire Page | $2.95 Value
This is a beautiful page to put in your grimoire if you keep one, or you could frame it and keep it near your altar. I absolutely love this because it reminds me that for centuries before the one I was born in, feminine goddesses were worshipped and believed in just as strongly as our culture believes in a male god now.
Moon Goddess Magickal Milk Bath | $14 Value
I took a picture of me holding so you could see better how nice of a size this milk bath powder is. It smells SO good too. Everything that came in the box has a very similar scent, they're all very soft, feminine and a note of sweetness in them.
I cannot wait to use this stuff in my bath! I used last month's sugar scrub during my New Moon ritual and it made my skin smell so good and so soft. Again, her products are just such good quality which is why this is my favorite box!
Her card says: "Made with powdered milk, oatmeal, baking soda, sea salt, essential oils and shimmer. This milk bath is perfect for cleansing rituals. Place about ½ cup in your bath water. Milk and oatmeal are very nourishing and hydrating for your skin. Cleopatra was famous for her milk bath ritual."
So that was the February box; once again I'm in love and so excited for everything we received. You can check out what we got in the January box here. For my complete round up of the best witchy boxes out there, click here to read that post.
