Moon manifestation has been one of my favorite ways to approach manifesting because of the fact that the moon’s phases touch on all aspects required for manifesting: getting clear, inspired action, appreciation, and letting go.
In today’s blog post, I’m going to share how moon manifestation will help you improve at manifesting in general. Beyond manifesting, following the moon is also an excellent way to integrate holistic self-care into your life at the same time.
5 years ago was when I first learned about the law of attraction. I thought it was woo woo AF and didn’t want anyone to know I was super into it. But then my life changed too much for me to care about hiding it, plus it became a mindset for me and felt so familiar that I didn’t think it was woo woo anymore.
Then I came across people who follow the moon phases and that it was all tied into manifesting. Once again I thought it was woo woo AF and definitely didn’t want anyone to know I was captivated by it and doing moon rituals. But again…it changed my life too much for me to care about hiding it and by this point in my spiritual journey, I’ve just embraced the fact that I’m probably some sort of reincarnated moon witch ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Hi, I’m Jessica and I was raised Southern Baptist but now I spend my free time pulling cards, holding crystals on my third eye, and burning shit under the moon with my spirit guide, amongst other things. My life has never been more magical, abundant, and I feel like I’ve come home. So…there, now it’s out in the open for the whole internet to read.
In this blog post I’m going to explain how the moon phases tie into moon manifestation. Even if you’re not interested in doing moon rituals (that’s what I said at first too but now look at me) this article will help you to use the moon as a reminder for things you should be touching on for manifesting your desires.
I’m assuming most of you know how manifestation works but I thought I’d do a quick run down so that the rest of the article will make sense to those who are just learning about it.
The law of attraction is a universal law that what you put your attention on grows. You attract to you the essence of you believe, expect, feel and think about continuously.
So the pre-step to manifesting is recognizing this truth and beginning to get very deliberate about what you’re thinking, believing and feeling. You will see proof of whatever you believe, so believe in what you want to manifest in your life.

New Moon | Setting Your Intention
Every phase of the moon carries a different energy and these different energies touch on everything essential when it comes to manifesting our desires.
The first step in moon manifestation is setting a clear intention and that’s exactly the energy of the new moon. You can’t see the new moon in the sky, which means it’s a time of planning, not acting. This is the time when you either set a new intention or add feeling to an existing one.
In order to manifest something you want, you need a clear picture of the END RESULT of your desire in your mind for the Universe to work from. Of course the Universe always knows what you truly want even without this clear picture, but your intent focus on a desire will bring it into manifestation quicker if that’s what you’re wanting.
I see the new moon as a new slate and fresh start. I take a detox bath, journal, and write down my new intentions or add new perspective to an intention that has carried over from the previous month.

Waxing Moon | Inspired Action
Once you’ve set an intention and are actively visualizing the end result of your desire, you will have activated the law of attraction and things will be begin appearing in your reality that will lead you to your desire.
You’ll be receiving inspiration and possibly impulses that you’ll be excited to act on. Random emails might pop into your inbox, someone might strike up a conversation with you in line at the coffee shop or a certain song will come onto the radio with lyrics that convey encouragement or an idea. Sometimes even seemingly drastic things can happen, like a job loss, because it’s the quickest way for the universe to bring you to your desire.
Inspired action feels GOOD. It feels exciting. It doesn’t feel like drudgery. Our society thinks blood, sweat and tears is what brings success but that’s so wrong. PASSION brings success. When you’re on fire, you’re on the right path. Yeah, you might work at something for hours, but for you it won’t feel like work because you’ll be so into it.
So this is what the waxing moon phase is all about–taking inspired action. During this time I write down any ideas that come to me and follow what feels good. I stay open to all possibilities and watch for signs that will lead me to my desire.

Full Moon | Celebrate
There is nothing more powerful when it comes to manifesting than appreciating and celebrating all that is coming to you. If you ever want to raise your vibration, just start writing down everything you’re grateful for because when your vibration is up, you become an open channel for your desire manifesting into your reality.
The full moon is a time of celebrating and amplifying what you want to bring forward. This is a powerful time to visualize your desire and fill yourself up with gratitude so the energy of the full moon makes it all bigger.
During the full moon, I usually just love to spend the night relaxing in a bath with a book, checking in with my new moon intentions, releasing any blocks that have come up for me, making a gratitude list, and visualizing. Just feeling good, really.

Waning Moon | Release
During this phase the moon is disappearing in the sky, so the energy with the waning moon is one of slowing down, releasing what’s holding you back, and decluttering your mind and living space.
During the waning moon phase, I do my daily morning Waning Moon worksheet which helps me to focus on ways to honor the stillness and take care of myself.
Women are by nature, cyclical (and men would benefit from it as well). We are not meant to be taking action constantly. Slowing down and taking care of yourself is just as important as all of the other aspects of manifesting.
The thing about manifesting is that it will bring up blocks within you that have been there since childhood likely. This is great because it means you can heal them. The Waning Moon phase is a time of healing these blocks so that you can remove the obstacle between you and your desire.

Each Phase Has a Purpose
It’s important to not get stuck in any one of the steps in manifesting. Except maybe the celebrating/appreciation step–that one would probably yield great results! But you wouldn’t want to get stuck in the intention setting, or the inspired action, or in the slowing down. They’re ALL important.
Most often we see people perpetually in the action phase, and it’s usually not inspired. Following the moon reminds you to move on to the next phase of manifesting your desire so that not only are you moving through the steps on a continual basis, but so that your intentions stay fresh, clear and focused because you’ll be revisiting them every four weeks.
