When it comes to how to manifest money, one of the quickest ways to get there is actually to take money out of the equation. Hold up–don't leave yet! I'm about to lay some golden, applicable advice on you for manifesting more abundance.
In this post, I'm going to talk all about manifesting money. Can it actually be done, how do we attract it, why does it feel so hard? I'm going to share everything I know and what has worked wonders for me, personally.
How do you actually manifest money?
Manifesting money works on the basis of the law of attraction, wherein you attract things, circumstances, and people of a similar frequency and vibration as yourself.
This is why the old adage of "the poor get poorer while the rich get richer." They are continually attracting more of what they are feeling and believing, unless and until they change their vibrational point of attraction.
When you see money as an energetic frequency, and yourself as an attractor with your own frequency, you can begin to understand how money, or the lack of it, is manifested into your physical reality.
Manifesting money really trips most of us up until we can begin to understand that we need to work on getting ourselves in the vibrational frequency of money rather than trying to figure out how to get it.
So in order to manifest money, you need to get on its wavelength, quite literally. In order to do this, most people need to get their minds off of money and onto cultivating better feeling emotions.
What money represents energetically
Energetically, money represents things like flow, freedom, security, abundance, ease, faith, and confidence. It's on the same frequency as all of the higher vibrational feelings such as love and appreciation.
When you remove money from the equation and focus on the emotions that vibrate where money does, you will begin to see your finances shift in incredible ways.
Most financial advisors will say money is a mindset. A wealthy person could give you their 10-step process for how they "make" their money every month, but unless you are on the same frequency as abundance, you will not see the same results.
To get a more accurate understanding of how a particular person is so abundant, ask them what they believe is possible. Find out how they view themselves and how they most often feel on a daily basis.
Why manifesting money seems so hard
It seems hard to manifest money because when you don't have it, it can be a struggle to intentionally get yourself into the feeling states of appreciation or abundance.
It's sort of like standing on a stage and falling backwards into the arms of the universe. You want to clinch up and don't fully trust that you'll be supported.
The good news is, you don't have to get all of this perfectly right. You can have worrisome thoughts about finances but if you keep leaning more towards focusing on what you appreciate, you will begin shifting your vibration upwards.
There are those who are born into money and therefore have felt financial security most of their life without having to really try (not to say they don't struggle with other things, since we all do). This is why sometimes you can see an emotionally unwell but wealthy person because on a basic level, they believe their abundance is guaranteed, so it continues to be.
And then there are those who are born into lack and therefore have felt a sense of lack most of their life. That's why you can see emotionally well people who are lacking in finances because on a basic level, they have a belief that lack is their lot in life, so it continues to be.
How to increase financial abundance
Whatever your background, you are in charge of writing the next chapter. Your past has no dominion in this now moment. You can begin shifting your financial reality in ways that will blow your mind.
I went from being a person who focused on lack the majority of her life to creating ever-growing levels of abundance. I went from broke as a joke to having a surplus of money every single month.
If this previous Negative Nellie was able to dramatically shift her abundance levels, so can you! Negative Nellies–we can transform! This is NOT hard.
See it as a fun experiment and watch what begins to unfold in your reality.
1. Upgrade your beliefs
I used to believe that you needed advanced college degrees in order to make good money, or that you had to work long hours. Everywhere I looked, those beliefs proved me right.
Your beliefs act like a steel door with multiple locks that keep out anything that would contradict what you believe. If you don't believe something is possible, how can it come to you?
If you would like to clear up your vibrational belief clutter, it might help to take stock of what you believe is true or not about abundance.
The easiest way to do this is to take out a sheet of paper and draw a line down the middle of it. Your current beliefs will go on the left side of the line, and on the other side will go its opposite belief.
When you think about money or abundance and its flow to you, why don't you believe it's shown up for you? Some beliefs could be:
- Money is hard to make
- I'm not good at handling money
- There's a cap in my profession, so earning higher isn't possible
- I'm not smart enough
- Family and friends might resent me or see me as not one of them anymore
- The more you have, the more you have to lose
Beliefs run deep, and you'd be surprised at how much has been programmed into your subconscious from society, parents, family, friends, spiritual leaders, etc. Here are examples of opposite, better-feeling beliefs to the ones above:
- Money is generated by joy, not hard work
- I will naturally learn how to handle ever-growing amounts of money as it flows in
- My abundance flow can come in many ways, not just through an employer
- Appreciation, not smarts, attracts abundance
- I will be showing my friends and family what is possible for them through my abundance
- I attach myself to joy, not things, so I have nothing to lose
2. Start appreciating
The act of gratitude, or appreciation, will flip your world upside down in every good way possible.
I used to believe that gratitude was akin to settling. Like oh okay, I'll be broke but grateful for these crumbs and settle for what little I have. But that is NOT what I'm saying at all!
I am saying that if you continually find things to appreciate and love, you will be shifting your energetic frequency higher and higher until money just sticks to you like you're a money magnet.
Appreciation metaphorically puts you in one of those gameshow money-generators that blows money all around you. You can't not be abundant after continually putting yourself in a state of appreciation at least once a day. The more, the better.
When I was financially at rock bottom and had just learned about the law of attraction, I did these few things every day that turned my life around in 3 months:
1. Visualized living an abundant life (not buying Gucci or mansions but filling up my Target cart and eating out with my family) once a day before I fell asleep for just a few minutes.
2. Thought of 10 things I was grateful for right afterwards. I was grateful for our food stamps, for a roof over our heads, and for the bed I was falling asleep in. I would feel such appreciation that I was frequently brought to tears.
3. Continued to feed my ever-expanding belief in what was possible through reading inspirational books every day. I didn't have friends with this mindset at the time, so I garnered my hopefulness and faith through reading law of attraction books.
3. Do this one thing as often as possible
The next big upgrade and jump in my financial abundance came when I started doing this one technique that I learned from Abraham Hicks. They said to ask yourself this one question as often as you can remember throughout your day:
What would be fun to do right now?
If you're a reader of my blog, I apologize, because I know I keep harping on this. But my life has shifted too dramatically to not keep repeating it.
I took their advice and throughout the day started asking myself that question. You can change up the question as well to ask yourself what would feel the best right now, or what do you most need?
Sometimes it feels like a good idea to go sit on the porch, or to go take a bath, or to play a video game (Animal Crossing addict here). Other times I want to work, clean my house, or reorganize my desk.
When you consistently ask yourself this question and follow through, you are taking inspired action! You are staying in alignment with yourself and following your bliss, which is elevating your vibrational frequency!
Can you tell I'm getting riled up and foaming at the mouth? 'Cause I am. Please do this for a month and report back to me–I would love to hear your results.
Conclusion
Expand your beliefs. Appreciate. Do what feels good in every moment.
These are life-altering habits. You can't not be abundant when you incorporate these things. It is universal law.
You have a choice in every moment of every day: joy or fear. Light or dark. Positive or negative. The more you lean towards the positive, the more things will show up in your life that make you feel good.
Reality is energy, going in and out in rapid succession of every moment. You can shift reality with your consciousness by choosing to elevate your vibrational frequency through your feelings and beliefs.
Now go do something that feels good.

I love this Jessica! Always looking for more ways to expand my abundance! Wondering if you have any suggestions for when what you have to do is not the “fun”/ feel good thing you’d want to be doing? When I’m working a 10 hour shift I def do not consider it fun haha. Should I picture myself doing what feels good/ would be fun?

Glad you liked the article, Nicole! I would look for fun things to do within the job, like listening to Abraham Hicks or an audiobook, for example. Create a list of 10 things you do like about your job and start to notice them more. Just keep asking yourself throughout your shift what you could do to bring more ease/fun/relief/joy to whatever it is you're doing.

LOVED this read. You made it sound so simple and something I am trying to continuously work on for myself; abundance is hard - but it's just that belief that is the barrier that's in the way. I LOVED your affirmations/new beliefs that you set into motion, they are easy to pick up - it's all about instilling the practice!
Thank you for sharing 🙂 Hope abundance found its way into your life easily and effortlessly 🙂 happy 2021!

Money beliefs varies from one culture to another.. For example, for Chinese culture, it doesn't matter how small the profit is as long as you have bulk sale... For some culture, you have to put big profit so you can gain more money... Or for some culture, no profit means gaining more money at all.. But i think the most important thing is to think that money is not hard to get.. Thank you jessica for this, really helpful!!

Wow! Thank you for that valuable information. You put things in a way that I can really appreciate and understand. I really enjoy your writing (and I used to be an English teacher)!

Hey that says a lot coming form an English teacher! Because I know I definitely forget a lot of the English rules I learned in school. Thank you for your feedback, made my day.
