A manifestation journal is one of the most powerful ways you can intentionally utilize the law of attraction, as well as cultivate daily inner peace. I have kept one for the last 9 years and my life truly was never the same again.
In this article I'm going to share 10 manifestation journal examples, the ones that are the most impactful for me, and all the how's and why's for each one.
What is a manifestation journal
A manifestation journal is simply a manifestation method that helps you to intentionally create your dream life.
I include prompts in my manifesting journal that get me thinking outside the box, that turn my self-limiting beliefs around, and that help me focus on what I want (not on what I don't want, which is where untamed mind will dwell).
Writing things down is powerful–don't ask me why. All I know is that it works and that I'm not the only one who has experienced this phenomenon.
There's a magic force behind writing things down, which is why I recommend that every person keep a manifestation journal if you want to improve your mindset and alter your reality in a really fun way.
How to start a manifestation journal
Anything you can write on can become a manifestation journal. I have already created my own template manifestation journal sheets (pictured above) which can either printed out in a binder or uploaded into a digital journal.
Whatever way you think will be easiest for you–do that. I always have my tablet with me, so that's why I've gone digital and keep all my mindset sheets in a journaling app. If you like pen-to-paper, print out the journal sheets or get a pretty notebook to record your exercises.
Manifestation journal examples
Below are manifestation journal examples that I have found to be the most potent and powerful in shifting my mindset and creating new realities.
This stuff is SO fun. We are in the dang matrix, people...your manifestation journaling practice is going to prove this to you.
You can alter reality, heal your mind and body, and live with unbelievable inner peace and abundance. You will get to a place where you don't even want to manifest anymore, because you'll just want the universe to surprise and delight you instead.
Here are my favorite manifestation journal examples and prompts.
1. Appreciation list
Appreciation is a very strong theme when it comes to manifesting. No matter what area of life you're struggling in, if you get into the habit of appreciation, your situation will begin to shift.
When we are in a state of appreciation, our vibration and frequency rises, which begins attracting awesome things into your life.
An appreciation list, also known as a gratitude list, is exactly how it sounds: a list of things you are currently appreciating. Do this one every morning and watch your reality alter.
Some prompts to get your juices flowing:
- I am currently appreciating...
- Things I'm grateful for...
- I am loving...
- Past experiences that were so beautiful...
- Things I love about this life experience...
2. 5x55 method
The popular 5x55 method is when you write an intention down 55 times every day for 5 days. The power of this method is that it not only ingrains the idea into your mind, but makes it feel real, rather than projected into the future as so many long-term goals are.
Think of something you want to manifest and then try writing it down in present tense in different ways until it feels right. When I was manifesting my home, I wrote out "I am loving living in a house surrounded by trees."
I try to write my sentence so that it conjures both gratitude and excitement within me. The more positive emotion it conjures within you, the faster it will come into your reality.
5x55 manifestation journal prompts:
- I am so grateful now that...
- I now allow into my life...
- I am so happy now that...
- I love experiencing...
3. Relationship mender
When you're having conflicts with someone, this exercise (when you're truly dedicated) will help you start to attract more pleasing aspects from them and less negativity.
As I first mentioned, appreciation is the Universe's quick pass ticket to the front of the lines for all the best rides. Do you want a different version of someone? You have to start appreciating them–no if's, and's or but's about it.
Pick your person and write down at least 10 things a day that you appreciate about them. Do this for several days. It's hard at first, but you'll begin to soften and your relationship will begin to shift. It's a universal law.
Relationship manifestation journal examples:
- I love the way he plays with the children every night
- I appreciate the way she's always there for me
- I'm grateful for the loving advice she tries to give me
- I appreciate the way he notices me
- I love the way she keeps everyone together
4. Morning intentions
Setting morning intentions is so powerful because it causes you to consider how you want to feel for the day. When we do this, we set our directional towards our north star rather than falling into old, looping patterns.
This has been my most useful self-reflection sheet because it clears my mind of any negative thoughts or worries, gives me a higher perspective over my day, and fills me with so much inner peace.
Morning manifestation journal prompts:
- 3 ways I want to feel today...
- 10 things I'm appreciating...
- Actions I'm feeling inspired to take...
- Oracle/tarot card pull messages...
5. Evening reflections
One of the most potent manifesting times of the day is right before we go to sleep.
I've always loved the way Neville Goddard explains that we impregnate our subconscious with the thoughts and beliefs we're having while awake, and while we sleep, our subconscious then gives birth to these realities in ways we can't begin to know.
For your evening sheet, the goal is to conjure positive emotion, appreciation, and release of worries before sleep.
Evening reflection journal examples:
- Things I loved about this day...
- I want to feel into...(pick a reality you want to manifest and feel into it by visualizing it and experiencing it in your mind)
- Release the belief (if something is troubling you, picture the belief that's causing it, imagine who you'd be without the thought and write it down)
- How I want tomorrow to feel...
6. Dream log
Our dreams are so much more than most people realize. Many believe that we travel into other dimensions and realities, connect with our higher selves and spirit guides, and work things out that are troubling us during "waking" hours.
You can ask for guidance, feedback, or inspiration to show up in your dream state before falling asleep. Once you start recording your dreams and really reflecting on them, you'll be so much more in touch with yourself and your higher guidance.
Dream manifestation journal ideas:
- Who was in the dream?
- Where did the dream take place?
- What happened?
- Main emotions of the dream?
- Intuitive knowing/feeling about the dream...
7. Scripting your life
This is one of the best exercises to do when you feel like you've been off track, or when you're completely new to manifesting and really need to map out what it is you actually want.
Scripting is when you write out how you want your life to be as if you are already experiencing it. This practice also automatically induces an inner visualization, which is another powerful manifestation practice. I do scripting in two parts in order to get clarity.
The first part I'll write out what it is I want in a bullet list format. Here's an example:
What do I want to manifest?
- Healthy body
- Plentiful cash flow
- Fulfilling work
- Love of self & others
Then for the second part, which is where the scripting comes in, I'll make a heading for each thing I want to manifest and under it I write out how I want things to be. The key is writing it in present tense. Here is an example of how that could look.
Healthy body
My body is always regenerating. It produces new cells every day. Every night as I sleep, it does a cell sweep to clear out the depleted cells and replenishes the body with juicy, new, vital cells. I have a strong immune system. My body makes the most of everything I do. Everything I eat is transmuted into the most pure energy. Every move I make is utilized by the muscles and fibers of this body. Every night this body is flushed. Even as I age according to this plane's physical laws, my cells stay ever-vibrant and happy.
8. Anxiety release
There's no manifesting mood killer like anxiety, and yet most of us have it in some form or another. It's okay. I have learned to make friends with my anxiety. It always invites me to surrender and release the ego's fear.
I read a lot of good books and listen to a lot of talks given. I think every person in the world has a piece of the puzzle, and there's something to learn from everyone. There are three specifically powerful questions I've stumbled upon that have really helped me.
These three questions bring you out of your fear and back to your center:
- Who or what would I be without this thought? (Byron Katie)
- What within me needs to be birthed, in order for me to have peace of mind, if this situation were to last forever? (Dr. Michael Beckwith)
- If today was my last day in my body, which thoughts, plans, and desires would no longer matter? (Mooji)
Really meditate on these questions and ponder them. Realize all of this is imagination. You get to choose what's real for you.
9. Belief upgrade
If something isn't manifesting for you, or you can't see how it could be possible, you my friend may be in need of a belief upgrade. Bring that rusty old belief in and upgrade it for something that will make your life a whole lot smoother.
This is an excellent exercise to keep in a manifestation journal. What I like to do is pick a subject, like money, and just start thinking about all the things I believe about money. Once I get started, beliefs just start popping up all over the place that I didn't even realize I had.
You'll write your current beliefs on one side of the paper, draw a line down the middle, and on the other side you'll put an opposite, upgraded belief.
Here are some examples:
- Money is hard to make ⮕ Money is easy to make
- The rich get richer and the poor get poorer ⮕ Money is attracted energetically
- Money is the root of all evil ⮕ Money is just energy, like food
- Only certain professions make a lot of money ⮕ Beliefs attract money, not professions
10. Surrender & align
At the end of the day, there's nothing you need to do other than feel the best you can feel. No matter where you are, when you're in a state of surrender, you're moving yourself out of your own way. This is one of the best things I've learned on my manifestation journey.
Your higher self attracts for you because you higher self is always where you want to be. The only things that stop you from aligning with your higher self are your opposing thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. So just surrender all that mess and align!
The goal of this sheet is to let go of control and pivot towards more relaxed emotions.
Surrendering manifestation journal examples:
- I can relax, because my higher self is taking care of...
- This allows me to now feel...
- I let go of...
- Fun/relieving ideas I feel inspired to do...
- I now release..

I love this post. This one line in particular really stands out to me: I think every person in the world has a piece of the puzzle, and there’s something to learn from everyone. I have always felt that inspiration can come from any source, but I never really made the connection that it can come from any person as well. DUH. Thank you!

Ha, I know what you mean! When you know something but hear it said in a slightly different way, it makes a whole new connection 🙂 I'm glad you enjoyed the post and thank you for your comment!

Jessica how would retire a phrase like “I am
not in trouble everything is ok.” I have occasional anxiety rooted in making mistakes that result in a punishment. I would like to make this an affirming statement of what is vs what I’m afraid of from my past.
Also want to say I love your work and have been following you for about 3 years. I enjoy your content so much and practical approach to this miraculous existence we are in.
Best!

Oh, really good one. Here's some that come to mind: It is safe for me/I am safe to learn and grow, It is safe for me (and others) to make mistakes, I give myself (and others) permission to make mistakes, It is okay for others to feel disappointed, I am worthy of compassion and kindness, I am worthy of forgiveness, I am human and humans make mistakes in order to learn, There are no mistakes only expanded awareness, I am the Divine in human form here to learn from my innocence, I can't get it wrong and I never get it done (from Abraham Hicks), I am open to making mistakes for the expansion they bring.
Thank you so much for your kind comment!

I absolutely love y’all the info you shared. You made it so simple to understand and absolutely love all the examples. I am older and new to manifestation and journaling. Do I choose 1 to start with and then add as I feel comfortable?

I sincerely like this post and will start and try to incorporate this in my life. I like that each point is not too lenghty and are easy to understand and follow.
I hope this will help with my overwhelming and constant anxiety as I am already feeling so lost.

The 5 x 55 method does it need to be done in 1 sitting or can it be done throughout the day

I absolutely love this article. Thank you so much for such a brilliant post, keep up the amazing work! Same time I would like to ask you here that how many desires can manifest at one time? Such as job, money relationship, health etc. Because everyone needs these things in life.
Thank you

The easiest way for me is to surrender and open myself to the flow of life. If I'm wanting several things in my life to go differently, then I become more general less focused on a specific area, and just look for ways to make myself feel better. Appreciation begins to draw all good things to you! 🙂
