A plant subscription box is a fun and educational way to grow your plant collection and learn more about plants. I considered myself to not have a green thumb but after being subscribed to a plant box, I’m proud to say I’ve become a bonafide plant mama!
In today’s post, I’m going to share the top plant subscription boxes currently on the market for you to choose from (and which one I’m personally subscribed to).
Which plant box is best?
This is subjective, but in my opinion I weigh in cost and overall value. I love receiving subscription boxes that really make me feel like I’m getting amazing value for what I’m paying.
And when it comes to a plant subscription box, I think it’s also important that they package the plants well. It’s understandable that they might get a little damaged just from being in a box while being shipped to my house, but it’s important that they are well watered before they leave, are packaged in a protective manner, and aren’t in route for very long.
The plant boxes below are highly rated. Some are more expensive than others but I’ll be sure to share what’s special about each one. I also checked each one for shipping costs and factored those into the total price.
This blog post is updated monthly. Here are my personal favorite picks out of all the plant subscription boxes out there.
House Plant Box
This is the box I get, so I’ll start with it. I have really grown a beautiful collection of plants receiving this box. They send me two decent sized plants a month along with a card that tells me what the plant is, how much water it needs and how much sunlight it can take. I have learned SO much about plants because of this box! It’s nice to receive two plants so I can spend the month getting to know them.

Bloomin Bin is under investigation by the Federal Trade Commission, The Texas State Attorney General’s office, and the Better Business Bureau. Just FYI
How do I know? I am one of the victims:
I placed an order with Bloomin’ Bins (owned and operated by Ms. Stephanie Facey) via y Cratejoy on July 14, 2020. This order (“Basic Bloomin’ Bin Flowers”) was a gift for a monthly subscription and delivery of various flowers to last one year. I paid $252 for the subscription plus $96 fo cover delivery fees each month (total $348).
After the first delivery (which was unsatisfactory) I sent an email on August 26, 2020 to Ms. Facey with questions about this and asked about the cancellation policy as we were unhappy with the first shipment. Over the course of several emails Ms. Facey informed me that I would not receive a full refund.
Not wanting to only recoup a portion of my payment I sent an email stating that I did not want to cancel and that she should proceed with the subscription unchanged.
Six days later I received an email from Ms. Facey stating that she had decided to cancel my subscription, despite my email stating that while i was unhappy with her subscription service that it should continue as normal. Stephanie Facey had gone ahead and cancelled my subscription citing her cancellation policy (despite the fact that I had not cancelled) would be keeping my money (~96.00). She solely made this decision to cancel my order. I did not give my approval for a cancellation.
Please do not order from this predatory seller.
