A waxing moon ritual is a beautiful way to bring in more clarity around your desires so that you can feel into them deeper and thus, manifest them!

In today's blog post, I'm sharing my waxing moon ritual for manifestation, clarity and inspiration.

    Waxing Moon Ritual

Last week I posted my new moon ritual for manifestation and this week I'll continue onwards with a ritual I do for the waxing moon to bring in more clarity and inspiration. You can also check out my other rituals for the full moon and waning moon.

The waxing moon is really a great time to fine tune your desires and ramp up your inspiration so that you are led to inspired action.

"Night is purer than day; it is better for thinking and loving and dreaming. At night everything is more intense, more true. The echo of words that have been spoken during the day takes on a newer and deeper meaning." - Elie Wiesel

The moon is our guide, reminding us to to embrace all the phases required for manifestation: renewal, planning, taking inspired action, listening to our intuition, celebrating, releasing, healing, and back to resting.

    I use these moon worksheets.

The waxing moon is a time of energy beginning to pick up; intentions take root, dreams get clearer, opportunities begin popping up, and you feel called to take action.

Here is my waxing moon ritual for gaining clarity and inviting inspiration in. I hope it gives you some self-care ideas to incorporate into your own.

    1. Check in

I focus mainly on four phases of the moon: new, waxing, full, and waning. For the waxing moon, I check in with myself and clarify any intentions I set during the new moon.

I sit down in front of my sacred space and clear it energetically with palo santo. I choose it over sage mainly because I just love how earthy it smells and it feels instantly grounding. You can easily find it in metaphysical stores or here on Etsy.

I light incense, visualize a circular white wall of energy around me, and light a candle that represents any additional energy I want to add to my intentions.

I journal how I've been feeling over the past week, how things have been unfolding, any clarification I want to add to my intentions (sometimes I will completely change my intentions from the previous week) and just any new thoughts that have popped into my head.

    waxing moon check in

I also always love to pull oracle cards for divine guidance. Ideas for questions to ask during the waxing moon could be:

    1. What should I focus on?
    2. What opportunities are coming up for me?
    3. How can I raise my energy level?
    4. Where should I be looking to receive inspiration?
    5. Message from the Universe

    2. Create a list of inspired ideas

The energy of the Waxing Moon is one of increased action. Opportunities and collaborations, either with others or with the Universe, will begin showing up in your experience. This is a time to remain aware and to follow through on ideas that present themselves to you.

In our current society, hard work is how we attain things. Pushing for things to happen and enduring soul-numbing "work" is what most of us are told to do if we want to achieve anything. This is not the kind of action the Moon or the law of attraction is about.

Inspired action will feel exciting and like you can't wait to get started. It may be "work", and it may physically tire you out, but your soul will be full.

"Hard work is not the path to well-being. Feeling good is the path to well-being. You don't create through action; you create through vibration. And then, your vibration calls action from you." - Abraham Hicks

The Universe is firing out inspired ideas to you that come in the form of subtle nudges, "a-ha" moments of clarity, or people who reach out to you by email/phone call/starting up a conversation with you in line at the store.

Your job is to remain open to these serendipities, say yes if it feels good and right, and write down any idea that comes your way.

I like to write down any and all ideas I'm having so that I don't forget them. Some of these may never pan out, but I like having all these ideas down so I can pick the ones that excite me the most and go with them.

    3. Write an appreciation list

You will likely begin experiencing signs of manifestation occurring during this phase of the moon. This is a powerful time to write down everything you're appreciating to give it more energy.

I've begun using the word "appreciate" over "gratitude". Gratitude can make me feel like I'm coming from a place of lack, whereas appreciation allows me to focus solely on what I'm enjoying.

I write down everything that's been going well for me since the new moon. It can be the tiniest of things, but my acknowledgement and enjoyment of it will cause it to grow. This exercise not only gives power to your intentions, but it raises your vibration so that you're able to be in the same frequency to receive MORE beautiful things into your experience.

    4. Visualize with more clarity

Since the new moon, you may have refined and narrowed your intentions. This is why I like to lay down and visualize my intentions with deeper clarity. Listen to music or a guided meditation (these are some of my favorites) and allow yourself to travel to your completed intention: imagine it as done and feel everything you would feel associated with that.

What would you be doing? Who would you be with? How would you feel? How would it positively impact yourself and others associated with this intention?

Let yourself get carried away in this "daydream". You are literally altering reality when you do this so let yourself get carried away!

"By visualizing my desired outcome, the perfect action is always inspired." Abraham Hicks

    5. Have faith and remain open

I remind myself to have faith and remain open no matter how things currently look. Sometimes things aren't unfolding as we imagined they would (sometimes things manifest in seemingly unpleasant ways, like a job loss) because the Universe knows the fastest ways to bring us to the place we're wanting to be.

This is not the time to throw the towel in and believe nothing is working out for you. You MUST have faith that the Universe is working in your favor.

If you recall in my last article I mentioned that one of my intentions was going to be my husband having a successful season at work because we both want this. Since then, my husband has made some very depressing comments about us not moving next year (HUGE intention of ours) because he doesn't feel like things are looking too bright.

    follow your bliss

Initially of course this makes me want to throw all the papers in the air and walk away kind of thing, but I reminded myself of 3 things:

    1. Why are you focusing on him having a good season, is that what you TRULY want or is it because you think that needs to happen in order for your true intention to manifest (YES).
    2. One day at a time; why are you giving your attention to the one thing that's upsetting you and not focusing on all the awesome things happening right now?
    3. Have faith that everything is working out in your favor, let no illusion discourage you.

Needless to say, my intentions have changed and are clearer than the ones I held a week ago. I'm focusing on what I feel is the right thing now and not letting myself get hung up on the "how's" of the Universe, as Mike Dooley says. I'm holding the vision and having faith, while taking any inspired action I feel called to take. I'm going to allow the Universe to surprise and delight.

"Believe in what you want so much that is has no choice but to materialize." - Karen Salmansohn

What a great routine 🙂 Just a short while ago I was actually discussing doing more research on the moon and interacting with it. Shortly after, you posted your new moon ritual! I am really loving these moon posts and I cannot wait to develop my own routines. Thank you so much for the inspiration as always.

Have recently started getting into your moon rituals, as much as I can with what I have so far (crystals, palo santo etc yet to come). I have a question about the intentions during moon rituals. As we're looking at the next month, do you generally have intentions that are more likely to be able to occur within the next month? I have huge aspirations for the next 12 months that I have daily affirmations about (things that are so far away from my current reality),, but I'm wondering if I'm almost "setting myself up to fail" by putting these huge aspirations into my monthly intentions. Am I better to break it down to intentions that are more likely to be possible within the next month (with a stretch of course)? Thank you.

I love your posts. I've been working with the manifestation box, but am feeling drawn to doing a waxing moon ritual today, and this post helped inspire me! I like what you said about gratitude - I've been working on feel grateful for the positives now, and will incorporate that idea later today. Thank you!
